Hello, I’m Christopher Nickson, Ph.D. I have been committed to providing high quality therapeutic services for youth and their families since 2015. My experience in the mental health field has offered a variety of mental health related services such as mental health literacy, wellness, and treatment in the private and public sectors. I am a graduate from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development, Argosy University M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and North Central University Ph.D. in Education and Organizational Leadership, and author of Trauma vs. Self: An Experiential Guide to Self: developing a holistic model to traumatization and recovery. I have served as an advocate for mental health in the Nashville community and surrounding counties via active engagement in professional presentations and activities as well as outreach efforts, and clients that have worked with me have reported benefits such as increased confidence and self-awareness, stronger interactions with peers and cohorts, development and understanding of leadership styles and principles, continuous goal orientation and enhancement, increased motivation, less stress as well as the adaptation of positive strategies to handling emotional distress, increased parental communication and support, better family systems, and better overall performance. I look forward to walking with you on your journey.
